Open a POINTS checking account.
Apply in a few minutes. We use the same information to set up your US deposit account at our FDIC-insured partner banks — POINTS powers the app and routing layer; the partner bank holds and insures your funds.

POINTS is a fintech, not a bank.
Your deposit account is opened at FDIC-insured partner banks under properly de-risked sponsorship, and pass-through FDIC insurance applies up to the applicable per-depositor limits — the same way it does at any US neobank. POINTS does not directly hold or insure your funds. Funds custodied at the partner bank, application governance and product UX handled by POINTS.
What this means in practice
Three things to understand before you apply.
Plain-language summary of the disclosure above.
1
Deposits held at the partner bank. The full balance you fund lives in your deposit account at the FDIC-insured partner bank — not on POINTS’ balance sheet.
2
Insurance is pass-through.The FDIC insures deposits at the partner bank in your name; per-depositor limits apply the same way they do at any neobank.
3
POINTS owns the experience. The POINTS app, ledger, and routing rails sit on top of the partner-bank account — your agreement and disclosures come from the partner bank.

Application
Tell us about you.
We use this to pre-fill your application at the partner bank. We hold onto it only long enough to route to KYC — nothing is persisted on the POINTS side this build.
